Tip of the Nose Meditation – Day 3. The tip of the nose offers both a place of rest and a place of exploration. We can move our awareness to this spot in order give ourselves a rest from “the monkey mind.” The stability that this provides allows for discovery. We can look around and notice the otherwise hidden details of any particular sitting, of any particular moment, and of the wondrous experience of breathing. As we do this, we are cultivating meditative focus: learning to withdraw from that which is dense and obvious (which captivates our attention the majority of the day) and open the subtle experiences within a moment. The breath leads the way. Happy meditating.
