All meditation practices bring the idea of relationship to the forefront of awareness. What is our relationship to our thoughts? What is the relationship of our thoughts to our emotions? What is our relationship to the breath? These are all common meditation ponderings.
At the center of each and every relationship (and every pondering) is Heart-Mind. This is the theme of this week’s step. This term, Heart-Mind, embodies the deep understanding that we are all interconnected and that interconnectedness underlies our entire reality. Heart-Mind generates, sustains, and defines this notion. “Our lungs lead us to our heart, and our heart has opened our mind.” Enjoy this introduction.
