Establishing a stable ground in meditation can mean many things. It can mean creating a peaceful and comfortable environment with little distraction. It can mean getting to know the best position for your body and the apparatus that your body needs for support such as cushions, pillows, or a chair. It can mean creating a rhythm with the breath for abidance or using the breath to generate stability in the body, mind and spirit. In any and every instance the steady ground that you create within your practice provides the platform from which to aspire upwards and outwards… toward spaciousness. Let’s do just that.
