Step #6, Heart-Mind – Day 2 We recognize the heart as the organ responsible for the circulation of blood. It is one of the most vital organs of the physical body… vital to our very existence. The heart is our connection to life, literally and figuratively.
We recognize that the heart relates to our ability to express and receive love, as well as our capacity to feel compassion or empathy. We think of someone with an “open heart” or someone who is “all heart” as being kind, nonjudgmental, nurturing, humble, and having the capacity to show love whether or not that love is being equally returned.
In what ever way you may experience heart – there is connecting and supporting taking place. “The longest journey one will make in their entire life is from the head to the heart.” Journey on!
Note: If you are new to The Practice of Living Awareness and would like to use these guided meditations as a formal training, you may want to look for the dropdown tab titled “FULL PRACTICE” on the blog’s menu bar under the tab “Practice of Living Awareness.” The entire last round of online meditations is there. These particular meditations are presented as an introductory training to the practice. Happy meditating!
