Respond with a Smile

smile19-2.4

“Sometimes your joy is the source of your smile, but sometimes your smile is the source of your joy.” —Thich Nhat Hahn

Happiness is a brainwave—smiles directly affect your brain. It is a physiological fact. It’s revealed in the delightful quote above. The very fact that you can always offer a smile, to yourself or to someone else, celebrates a fundamental freedom that we all possess: the freedom to choose how to respond to a situation.

It’s your life. It’s your experience. Choose to express the brightness of your being with a smile—or smiling with your being. Today’s meditation offers every opportunity to do just that.

Happy meditating!
