Attention as Intention

It’s important to bring about an element of compassion when we begin to see how unpredictable and hasty the mind can be at times. This becomes really obvious during a meditation sitting. We want to cultivate a friend, not an enemy which must be suppressed or subdued. Practicing “focused awareness” can help with this.

The longer we practice meditation, the more familiar we become with the nature of our mind and the way in which it functions. There’s the potential for a great friendship to blossom!

Happy meditating.
