The divine feminine principle is the principle of substantiality: matter. As we hold ourselves accountable for this principle, we hold ourselves responsible for and in the joy of bringing forward the greatest light. Substantiality and matter have one purpose: to express the highest potential, the greatest vibration, the livingness of Awareness itself.
We are all pregnant. It is the intention of being human to be a constant point of birth and creation. Relation is birth, kindness is birth, creativity is birth, words are births, thoughts give birth. Every moment already is the mystery of birth, so let us give rise to the best. Let us no longer birth anger or impatience, bigotry or contempt, but like Theotokos, bring forward great Light, common Compassion, Inspiration, and Responsibility.
We are incarnated, made flesh by our intention to be in this world. One’s substantiality is proof of the vibration of one’s Being. Let us vibrate this essential quality of Life and Light into the world, through our relations, through the common moments and events of every day.
The days of Light (solstice, full moon, Hanukkah, and Christmas) remind humanity of its purpose and nature. Like the rhythm of the sea making sand of great boulders, the repetition of Goodness will transform the pain of the world. Humanity’s light, lived as the commonality of each peons’s daily existence, is all that is needed. So, the Christ said, “You are the light of the world,” and so Theotokos holds the eternal child: humanity.
Make your light common! Be the gift the world needs this Christmas. Be the light!
Humanity has been blessed by a number of avatars through its history. Each spiritual tradition holds the stories of blessed ones coming, teaching, and then leaving the physical form with the promise to be present nonetheless.
Most of the world’s traditions speak of the blessed one birthing into human existence. With some, it is a miraculous virgin birth, with others a dream and omen laden conception, and then miracles attending the birth. The mother is always pious, pure in heart, and generous through words and actions.
These beings are avatars – a Sanskrit word that means blessed one of a very rare and auspicious order. The avatars that come to humanity have embodied and taught the same principles over and over again: the power and truth of compassion, the interconnected oneness of Life, and that this power lies within everyone. To live from it is to empower the oneness of Life. Thus, they have all taught of virtue and wisdom, governance based upon these principles, and life emancipated from pain and sorrow as a result.
Each avatar has encouraged humanity – you and I – to live the highest the each of us is capable of, knowing that this is the true gift of the spirit. A life vibrationally well lived is a life that gives to life. And, so, each one has showed us this with his or her life, showed us that there is no greater gift to give than a life a love.
Today, girls is process wearing crowns and halos of candles. They will also walk carrying a single lighted candle representing the inner light. The candle represents that darkness is destroyed by light of even a small candle. The innocent youth that carries the candle represents a greater strength than might; it is the strength of a pure heart.
As the sun sets today, it will be the shortest day and the night the longest night. But, tomorrow begins a growth of daylight. Humanity has celebrated the cycles of the sun and the celestial luminaries because they remind us of our Path, our Way, and our Hear.
This meditation focuses on the journey of light that humanity walks, a walk that must be increasingly embodied. As is said, “One must become the Path.” Doing so, one realizes that “all is light. And that, “in this light, all is illumined.”
