Meditation can bring forward a particular aspect of our human beingness: the observer. As we simply observe the mind and its thoughts, emotions and their sway, and the physical body and its sensations, we create space for what is unfolding to express itself. And within that spaciousness, we have room to choose how we might respond. There is real freedom in that arrangement.
Furthermore, choosing to collect your attention at the tip of the nose during a meditation sitting—and allowing yourself to gently become aware of the breath—may sound like a small gesture. It isn’t.
Try it. Observe the results. It’s a grand choice.
Enjoy!
