What is the mind? One definition refers to the mind as “a set of cognitive faculties including consciousness, perception, thinking, judgement, language and memory. It is usually defined as the faculty of an entity’s thoughts and consciousness.”
Another definition states that the mind is an “element of a person that enables them to be aware of the world and their experiences, to think, and to feel.”
Lastly, this one says that “a core aspect of the mind is defined as an embodied and relational process that regulates the flow of energy and information.”
Thought. Experience. Awareness. Energy. Perception. Judgement. Information. Language. Memory. Consciousness. The mind is a pretty powerful tool. Thus, it is a good idea to get to know it.
What’s more, the mind certainly knows us! In many ways, the mind plays a big part in creating and directing our reality. Reality is a process, is it not? Think on it!
Week 10 is called “Mind” and we will work with it this week.
Happy meditating.
