To accompany today’s meditation, I’d like to offer some text from the ever-inspiring “Notes from The Universe.” It says everything about the art of allowing…
“Tell me, what advice would you give a child who came to you asking what their favorite color should be?
To follow their heart? That no color is right or wrong? That if they wanted to, they could always change their mind later, any number of times? That their happiness with their choice is all that matters? Not to give it too much importance? That they don’t have to decide at all?”
When was the last time you practiced simply allowing… simply remaining as soft and open and receptive as a feather floating gently downstream?
Happy meditating.
Soften, Open, and Receive Meditation – Day 2
This is such a beautiful reminder about the power of allowing and flowing with life rather than resisting it. The analogy of choosing a favorite color resonates deeply—so often, we overcomplicate decisions when, in reality, there’s no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ path, just what feels true in the moment. Thank you for sharing this wisdom; it’s a perfect complement to meditation and a lovely invitation to embrace softness and receptivity. I’ll definitely carry this thought with me today!
