It’s a Kind of Magic

Note: A technical oversight had this post sitting in the drafts pile… oops! Here’s yesterday’s meditation : )

There’s a particular kind of magic that happens after a storm. The sky begins to clear, sunlight breaks through, and suddenly—seemingly out of nowhere—a rainbow appears.

Nothing “new” was added to the sky. The light was already there. The water droplets were already there. What changed was the relationship between them. The conditions lined up, and what had been hidden in plain sight—the full spectrum of color inside ordinary white light—was revealed.

Conditions reveal rainbows. With the right combination of sunlight and water droplets, the full spectrum of color comes forward as radiant magic. Sunlight always holds the potential of a rainbow, just as you always hold the potential of radiance.

This is the essence of the Central Channel practice: we’re not trying to manufacture something new; we are creating the conditions that allow what is already there—living awareness—to shine through.

Happy meditating!
