Have you ever spent time in the forest? It is rejuvenating. In fact, the health benefits of time spent among trees have been proven; so much so that it’s got a name: forest bathing. The air is alive. It is pure and rich. Trees are the lungs of the earth. They purify the atmosphere, absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen. Their various processes of giving and receiving also help to regulate water cycles and and build up topsoil. They are wonderful examples of interdependence and alchemy.
We will celebrate their magic in today’s meditation, the first of a new theme for this week, which is called “Ground of Being.”
Enjoy!
