This week we’ve worked with the Central Channel as an inner pathway running through the center of the body—a subtle line of balance connecting earth and sky, instinct and insight, body and consciousness. When we’re aligned, we think clearly, respond wisely, and move through life with a certain steadiness. This is the Central Channel in motion.
Today’s meditation touches upon five common distortions of energy sometimes called the five poisons: confusion, jealousy, anger, attachment, and pride. These aren’t signs that something is wrong with us, they are familiar human patterns that arise when energy becomes crystalized and dense. Left unattended, they narrow perception. Met with awareness, they can reveal wisdom.
Perhaps that is the deeper promise of the Central Channel: there is a way through the middle of us that remains available even when life feels chaotic. Again and again, we can come back to center. One breath. One moment of awareness at a time.
Happy meditating.
