Living Awareness

dedicated to
cultivating consciousness
in everyday life

For twenty-five years, Spirit Fire has invited us to become more conscious within the life we are already living. The Practice of Living Awareness has been the primary vehicle for this.

Its delivery has changed—meditations were originally mailed by CD, then people gathered at the retreat center, and today the Practice reaches practitioners far and wide in ways we couldn’t have imagined when Spirit Fire began.

The invitation was always the same: pay attention, become curious, meet experience with presence, allow awareness to deepen until meditation simply becomes a way of life. It becomes a quality we carry into relationships, work, service, difficulty, and ordinary moments.

This summer, the images of our former retreat center brought back delightful memories of a place that created beautiful conditions for practice. What a beautiful time in space! Those years reminded us what can happen when we make room for awareness; the Practice reminds us that we can make that room wherever we are.

Twenty-five years later, our mission still says it best: cultivating consciousness in everyday life.

Happy meditating!
