Fresh Snow

Think of your brain as a hill covered in snow, and your thoughts as sleds sliding down. Over time, a few trails become deeply carved, and every new sled follows the same paths. Meditation acts like gentle snowfall, filling in those deep tracks and creating space for sleds to explore fresh paths, new landscapes, and untraveled directions.

In practice, simply observe where your mind drifts when it wanders. Notice the tone and quality of the thoughts. Are they anxious, critical, or repetitive? By observing without judgment, you create space for curiosity and kindness, softening old tracks and opening the mind to new possibilities.

Meditation is not about forcing change—it’s about gently noticing, being present, and letting the mind explore at its own pace. Have you ever sledded on freshly fallen snow? Gliding in new directions, discovering fresh views… it’s exhilerating!

Away we go in the here and now!

Happy meditating.
